Dan Marks is Head of Capital Investment for North America. He first joined the Department of International Trade in July 2010 where he was based in Chicago for the Financial Services team in the Mid-West.
Since 2013 he has been Liaison Officer to the Multi-Lateral Development Banks in Washington and Trade & Investment Officer for Financial Services. Delivering 70 FDI projects for the United Kingdom and winning the Permanent Secretary Award in 2018 for his work on trade.
Prior to joining DIT Dan founded an economic intelligence publishing company which specialized in profiling investment opportunities for the New York Observer, Fox News, Weekly Telegraph & Gulf News. He has produced investment guides to 14 countries and led sales teams in the Middle East & Africa.
Dan has a B.A in International Relations from Nottingham Trent and holds professional certifications in export finance, financial technologies, journalism, economics, procurement, project management and investment banking. He is a full time husband & father and Nottingham Forest fanatic.
