Mehmet Budak is the Founder/Managing Principal of Bessley Capital LLC (Private Investment Office) established in 2010 that makes principal investments into thematic/specialized private funds (AuM $100-400m) and opportunistic direct co-investments (Seeds, Series A/B, Growth) across Private Equity, Special Situations and Yielding Assets (lower middle market).

 

Current Portfolio  1) Strategic Investments (GP stakes or economic interests in boutique financial services companies and asset managers that include US hedge fund, US bank, Swiss bank, US multi-family investment office, US non-bank lender, US long-only manager)  AND  2) Opportunistic Investments — Cannabis, healthcare technology, US Govt contractors and others.

 

Previously, Mehmet was Senior Advisor of Credit Suisse (Switzerland), Principal of CoastEdge Multi Family Investment Office (USA), Principal of TFO Investments (Middle East), Head of EMEA of Marathon Asset Management (USA), U.S. Buyout Investment Executive of  Carlyle Group (USA), and Investment Banker with Goldman Sachs (USA).

 

Mehmet received his M.B.A from the Wharton School and B.S. from the United States Military Academy (West Point).
