Sever brings over 15 years of investment experience, most recently as Partner with Edison Partners, a leading growth equity firm that invests in east coast based software and technology-enabled companies. At Edison, Sever focused on investments in enterprise software companies, having led fifteen financings and served on the board of eight Edison investments including Presidium (acquired by Blackboard), Notable Solutions (acquired by Nuance), Salsa Labs, and VoxMobile.
Prior to joining Edison, Sever was with Lazard Technology Partners (LTP), a $400M venture fund. There he co-led ten software investments, including companies such as Vocus, Managed Objects (acquired by Novell), Intellitactics (acquired by Trustwave), Cyveillance (acquired by QNetiq), BoxTone (acquired by Good Technologies) and Interwise (acquired by AT&T). Before joining Lazard in 2000, Sever held operating leadership roles at Primark, an equity research software company based in the D.C. area, which expanded to over $500M before being acquired by Thomson Financial. Originally from Romania, Sever received his B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech and is a CFA Charter holder. Sever also serves on the Board of Mid Atlantic Venture Association (www.mava.org).
