
Sever Totia | 3TS Capital Partners
Sever is responsible for leading 3TS Capital's portfolio companies, new investments and overall operations in the US. He focuses on enterprise software segments including mobility, systems management, real-time infrastructure, security and on-demand applications. Sever serves on the board of 3TS investments Piano, ConveyIQ, HomeCare, and is also engaged on Tresorit, Nexd, SafeSize, Solvoyo, TourRadar and 123FormBuilder. He also has broader operating responsibilities across the firm and 3TS’ targeted fund Catalyst Romania. Sever is active in the community as board member of the Draper Venture Network (DVN), Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA), Deloitte's Technology Venture Center (TVC), and past chairman of NVTC’s Capital Formation Committee.
Prior to 3TS, Sever was a Partner with Edison Partners, a leading growth equity firm that invests in east-coast based software and tech-enabled companies. He led fifteen financings and served on the board of eight Edison investments including Presidium (acquired by Blackboard), Notable Solutions (acquired by Nuance), Salsa Labs (acquired by Accel-KKR), VoxMobile, KDS, Ontuitive and Regent. He led Edison's Director Network for five years which became the largest Board Director development program for private companies.
Sever joined Edison from Lazard Technology Partners (LTP), a $400M venture fund. There he co-led enterprise software investments in companies including Vocus (NASDAQ: VOCS), Managed Objects (acquired by Novell), Intellitactics (acquired by Trustwave), NFR Security (acquired by Checkpoint), Cyveillance (acquired by QNetiq), BoxTone (acquired by Good Technologies), and Interwise (acquired by AT&T). Before joining Lazard in 2000, Sever held product management and operating leadership roles at Primark, an equity-research software company which expanded to over $500M and executed a successful IPO before being acquired by Thomson Financial. Sever is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
